Finding Free Legal Help

Finding Free Legal Help

Qualified women can receive no- or low-cost legal help from a wide variety of organizations across the U.S.

You may be able to receive pro bono legal help with your divorce, separation, or child custody and support cases. Eligibility requirements vary, but may be based upon your income level, age, disability, ethnicity or the presence of domestic violence in your relationship. There also are programs, including those offered by private law firms, that offer services free of charge based solely upon the characteristics of your case. Thus, even if you doubt you may qualify, be sure to pursue your options before rejecting the possibility.

To find free or low-cost legal aid programs in your community, select your state in the drop down menu below. Contact the organizations or programs listed, including your state and local lawyer referral services, if any.

The Modern Woman's Divorce Guide has no relationship with the organizations; agencies or programs listed above and does not endorse their services. We provide these links for your information only.
